The work we do most of:
Buying or selling - buying or selling a house, land or business or just thinking about it.
Estate law - Deceased estates, Wills and Powers of Attorney, Estate Planning.
Commercial law - Businesses, Trusts, Company
Family Law
Court matters - Magistrates Court, District Court, Supreme Court.

Gala v. Chapman and Preston was a High Court case in which the whole seven Judges of the High Court of Australia overturned Queensland's highest Court. Byrne & Co Lawyers had appealed to the High Court from Queensland's highest Court. There are only seven members of the High Court. The decision of the seven members of the High Court was unanimously in favour of our client.
Byrne & Co. Lawyers have likely established the law on the issue determined in the action. We believe that law is highly unlikely to be changed. It can only be changed by Government.
We believe that the firm's Lawyers, if they are to serve you properly, must have the ability to give advice of a high order.
In Gala –v- Chapman our original advices, unassisted by those of the Barrister were accepted as the correct state of the law.
The Senior Barrister we retained in the matter and our Junior Barrister have both since been appointed Supreme Court Judges.
We will fight fearlessly to see justice is done.
